Dr. Chidinma ‘Chiddy’ Chukwudum grew up in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. When she was a child, she dreamt of becoming either an artist or a doctor. After completing a Bachelor Degree in biomedical sciences, a research-based Master Degree in infectious diseases at St. George University in London, England, and her Medical Degree at St. George in the West Indies, Dr. Chukwudum is excited to begin her training at Northwest Health Tucson in the art of medicine. She chose medicine as her career path because of the fulfillment found in knowing that she can have a positive impact on a patient, their family and the community in which she lives.
Dr. Chukwudum is married with three children and enjoys the outdoors and community outreach. Outside of medicine and volunteerism, Dr. Chukwudum enjoys discovering her interests. Currently, she finds joy in outdoor activities such as running/jogging, obstacle course challenges and skiing. She also enjoys creative art, embroidery and dancing. After residency, Dr. Chukwudum currently plans to pursue a fellowship in critical care medicine.
