Being a pediatrician is always a joy and sometimes a puzzle. My patients are often too young to tell me how they’re feeling or what’s wrong, so a big part of my job is solving that puzzle.
For me, treating patients under the age of 18 keeps things fresh, interesting, and fun. I like to say that this is the only specialty where we get to hold our patients in our arms, and nothing is more fulfilling than cradling a brand-new baby while I give the parents what I call “anticipatory guidance.” I also love treating school-age and teenage patients. Every age group has its different developmental treasures.
I am passionate about helping children and have a silly extroverted personality to match their energy. I want to make sure all children are able to receive the care they deserve in order to succeed in life. I love to teach at all levels and am excited to work with residents.
I try to make everybody smile when they come through the door and feel better about themselves when they’re leaving.
I love to spend time with my 3 children and beautiful wife. I love to travel, enjoy the serenity of nature, and find new friendships.
Although I don’t have the chance to speak it much in Tucson, I’m fluent in Swedish.
