Kevin Fleming, M.D. – Internal Medicine

Dr. Fleming was introduced to healthcare at a young age, having come from a family of physicians. He found Internal Medicine to be intellectually stimulating and enjoyed the idea of taking care of a patient from the start to the finish of any medical issue they may be experiencing.

Lyndsey Kramp, M.D. – Family Medicine

Family Medicine Residency Program Director

Dr. Kramp completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, her internship in Obstetrics/Gynecology and then continued with the Family Medicine Residency program at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Fort Smith.

As an Assistant Professor and Core Faculty for the UAMS Family Medicine Residency Program for 9 years, she directed and mentored many clinical quality improvement projects, national academic poster presentations and was honored as Teacher of the Year (2019). She moved to Tucson in 2022 as the founding Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Northwest Healthcare, Tucson. Dr. Kramp is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Chair of the Graduate Education Leadership Committee at Northwest Healthcare.

Dr. Michelle Williams is the founding Program Director for the Northwest Healthcare Transitional Year Residency Program.

Family Medicine Residency Associate Program Director

Dr. Vargas completed medical school at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ, and his Family Medicine residency with University of California, Davis at Travis Air Force Base – in affiliation with the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. DeLong is a Nephrology Specialist in Tucson, AZ with 23 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. DeLong is experienced in hypertension, general nephrology and chronic kidney disease.

Alyssa Figueroa, D.O. – Internal Medicine

Dr. Figueroa, D.O. is an internal medicine hospitalist at Northwest Medical Center and Core Faculty for the Internal Medicine residency program. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Houghton College.

Hoang Thai, M.D. – Cardiology

Core Faculty

Dr. Thai specializes in complex interventional cases such as patients with impaired heart function and those suffering from cardiogenic shock. He also performs high risk cardiac interventions such as reopening chronic total occlusion (CTO), left main interventions and in those patients who have been turned down for bypass surgery due to increased risks. He is interested in many new technologies emerging for cardiac care that allow physicians to better care for their patients.

Dr. Ashini Shah is a geriatrician in Tucson, Arizona and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Northwest Medical Center-Tucson. She received her medical degree from N.H.L Municipal Medical College and has been in practice for more than 32 years.
