Why did you choose NW Transitional Year Residency?
The training program is new and provides ample opportunities for education and training in a location that has a unique patient population.
What were your favorite elective during your TY residency?
My favorite elective was Rheumatology interestingly enough. I had a ton of exposure to unique radiology cases and made a lifelong mentor.
What are your professional interests within your specialty?
I am interested in musculoskeletal injuries and neuroradiology. Both of which are equally interesting to me.
What did you enjoy most about life in Tucson?
I particularly enjoyed the outdoors and hiking with my dog. Mount Lemmon was a total surprise and actually really enjoyed the drive up the mountain.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend the day off has got to be hitting the golf course and finishing off the afternoon with some great Mexican food or tacos.
Any advice for future interns?
Enjoy the year, it goes by much faster than you realize. Some days are hard but most are really good.
